Fresh Outta the Shower: BIC® Soleil® Glow® Review

Just got outta the shower after using BIC's Soliel Glow razors for the first time so I figured I would take this opportunity to share my feelings while they're fresh!

First off, lemme say that these razors are adorable! Pink, purple and green handles with white, comfortable grips! I just wish they'd put as much lasting power into the blades as they did making them look cute...

When I buy disposable razors, I don't expect them to last forever, but I do like to get atleast a couple uses out of them before tossing 'em. This razor, however, I don't feel I will be able to get a full second time with it.

While the razor's handle is very comfortable and slip proof, I would suggest making the head a little smaller. The size that it is makes it a little hard to get into smaller areas or creases (ie: the bikini line.) On the plus side though, I managed to get ZERO nicks/cuts! Yay for that!

Would I buy these again? Probably not, based on the lasting power (or lack of it.) I appreciate the trial and who knows, maybe I just got a bad batch. Would for sure suggest other BIC products though! I buy them often... just not these, lol.

L'Oréal Ultimate Straight

Got my #UltimateStraight VoxBox from Influenster a couple weeks ago featuring the Ultimate Straight product line by L'Oreal. To be honest, I wasn't sure how I would like this product. My hair is already straight so I was worried that it would make my hair FLAT. Luckily that wasn't the case. It made my hair feel light and airy. Styled wonderfully and smelled amazing as well. Really loved the frizz control the Styling cream and Shampoo had.

Would I buy this product? No, only because it isn't something that I NEED for my specific type of hair. Would I recommend it to someone dealing with unruly, curly hair? Absolutely!

#XOVoxbox from Influenster!!

Fab products in the Feburary #XOVoxbox from Influenster!! Was so happy to see the pretty pink box on my doorstep! Here's the rundown:

The Tide Pods with Febreze are the star of this Voxbox, imo. When I was little I was allergic to Tide detergent so I was a little nervous trying these cause I've been using the same laundry soap for years. Good news though, because I've apparently outgrown it! The pods make my clothes smell AMAZING!! It's like a burst of freshness when I open my closet and I'm not exaggerating at all. Will definitely be buying these from now on!

My boyfriend is the Kitchen Manager of a local restaurant Downtown and his hands get so rough and sore for accidently burning them on the stove to being dry from dishes. He said that the Skinfix Hand Repair Cream is doing wonderful healing on them. I love that there isn't a heavy scent to them and a little goes a long way with this. No greasy after feel which is a plus!

I've yet to see a huge difference while using the Colgate Optic White Toothbrush + Built-in Whitening Pen and Colgate Optic White Express White 3 oz. Toothpaste, however, it does leave my mouth feeling amazing when I'm done brushing. The Pen was a little hard getting used to because you kinda have to wait for it to dry a bit before you're able to hold your mouth comfortably but I'll keep using it. I'm eager to see the results!

The Sea Salt Spray from the John Frieda Beach Blonde Collection is so neat! Loved how it made my hair look "tasseled" but not messy. I really dug the look and will most likely be buying a full sized bottle. The smell is very nice as well!

I used the John Frieda Luxurious Volume 7 Day Volume In-Shower Treatment right before going out on a Saturday night. I initially loved the looked, very full and sexy but the volume seemed to fall within a couple hours and by the end of the night, my hair was flat again, which is a bummer cause I had high hopes.

Overall I'm super happy that I was chosen for this Voxbox. Thanks Influenster!! Until the next one... -XOXO-

Aldi Recipe: Asian Style!

Made General Tso's Chicken & broccoli with pork potstickers and rice. My 11 year old scarfed it. I'll consider that mission accomplished! What makes it even better was the price. No, I didn't keep a tally BUT all of these ingredients were found @ Aldi and are all Aldi brand.

You'll need:

Fusia Asian Inspirations Savory Pork Potstickers
Fusia Asian Inspirations General Tso's Chicken
Seasons Choice Broccoli Florets
Carlini Extra Light Tasting Olive Oil
Rice Bowl White Rice

First, get that chicken in the oven. Bake to package directors (which I believe was @ 400* for 20 minutes but double check ofcourse.) Set the sauce package on top of the stove so it'll start to melt. Now make some rice. I did two cups and there was more than enough for 3 people. Get a skillet and add some EVOO (I used to be a hardcore Rachael Ray fan, hush!) and add the potstickers. There were 10 in a box. Put them on medium and let them crisp up on one side then flip 'em over and add 1/2 cup of water. Pop on a lid, turn down the heat and let them steam while the water reduces. Rice done. Potstickers done. Should be able time to take out the chicken bites. Transfer them over into a pan, add the semi thawed sauce packet and a bag of frozen broccoli florets. Stir together until heated them serve over top the rice with a bite or two of potstickers in between. BAM!! Asian style dinner fo' cheap (and yum!)
